Odyssey House Victoria offers two rounds of student intake, at the beginning of the year and then mid year. Applications can be submitted at any time but will be reviewed during December/January for semester 1 and June/July for Semester 2.

Student placement - Residential Admissions
For this placement, you would be based in Richmond. Students on placement at Richmond will need to have a police check and a Working with Children Check
Eligibility
- Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Master of Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or Community Services
- Diploma in Mental Health or Community Services
Your placement may, under supervision, and working as part of a team, include assisting with:
- Facilitating and supporting client admissions into both the Lower Plenty and Bairnsdale locations through:

- Supporting the collection of appropriate information to assess client suitability
- Participating in preparation sessions for clients
- Providing support to individuals and groups regarding their admission
- Consulting with referral agencies
- Consulting with other external agencies
- Supporting senior residents during the admission process
- Participating in risk assessment and treatment planning processes
A day in the life of this position includes observing and supporting our admissions team, working with comprehensive assessments to determine suitability, and documenting case management notes. Your observations will include assessing risk for both the individual client and other clients in the residential program. You will participate in clinical reviews and clinical supervision.
