Job Description

Odyssey House Victoria offers two rounds of student intake, at the beginning of the year and then mid-year. Applications can be submitted at any time but will be reviewed during January/February for placements in the first half of the year and June/July for the second half. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

We are currently accepting applications for the first half of 2024 with a start date late April or early May.

Student placement - Financial Counselling (FC)

 

Location

 

For this placement, you would be based at the Residential Rehabilitation in Lower Plenty

 

Eligibility

 

  • Diploma of Financial Counselling

 

Students must have completed or are nearing completion of their course.

 

As a student, you will shadow and work with the Financial Counsellor and the financial counselling team. Areas to be covered will include:

  • client intake and understanding of the FC process.
  • assist with debt problems, or disputes with banks, utility providers and Fines Victoria.
  • make referrals to other professionals where appropriate; and
  • provide information about consumer rights.
