Role Purpose:
The Property Development & Maintenance Supervisor oversees all aspects of the building maintenance and compliance work at the Therapeutic Community. The position forms part of the Operations Team and works independently performing basic maintenance tasks and overseeing contractors and compliance. The position also provides some supervision and support in resident day-to-day activities. The Therapeutic Community (TC) is a long-term residential program that works with residents to establish healthier relationships, promote personal change and support them in their recovery journey. An essential element of the TC is the individual residents’ relationship with the peer community.
Key areas of focus:

Induct and orientate all new contractors as per the expectation of Odyssey Victoria · Develop and maintain essential services including security, maintenance, cleaning, waste disposal

To be successful in this role, you must hold the below qualifications/experience…

Demonstrated skills and experience in construction and building

Demonstrated ability to engage residents in dialogue with the capacity for hands on involvement and ability to transfer knowledge to other

Ability to interpret and apply information from relevant regulatory, legislative, environmental and OHS requirements, codes and standards

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, open to giving and receiving feedback about self, and the capacity to recognise and resolve interpersonal conflict

Time management skills to ensure work is completed to time requirements/deadlines

Demonstrated capacity to balance competing demands and to prioritise work effectively. Capacity to continuously review and make responsive changes where needed to ensure a high standard of service delivery

Ability to manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
